If unreadable or missing, contact a MILWAUKEE service facility for a free replacement. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. Hold power tools by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.Ĭontact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator.ĩ. Accessories that may be suitable for one tool, may become hazardous when used on another tool.Ĩ. Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.ħ. Use clamps or other practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. If the plug or connections get wet, turn power off to the outlet before unplugging the tool.Ħ. Prevent cutting fluid from traveling along the cord and contacting the outlet, extension cord connections or tool plug.ĥ. A back up plate must be used (See “Backing Plate" under “Operation”). Holding power will decrease on thinner stock. It is designed for use on 1/2 inch or thicker ferrous stock. The electro magnetic drill press attaches magnetically to any ferrous metal. Do not attach magnetic base to nonmagnetic grades of stainless steel. Chips, burrs, dirt and other foreign matter on the surface of the magnetic base will also decrease holding power.ģ. Paint, rust, scale, or uneven surfaces decrease the holding strength or the magnet. Clean the surface before attaching the drill stand to the work surface. Mounting can release when drilling overhead or on a vertical surface (See “Safety Chain” under “Operation”).Ģ. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.ġ. ![]() Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.Ģ3. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.Ģ2. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool's operation. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.Ģ0. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.ġ9. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.ġ8. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.ġ7. Use the correct power tool for your application. Line Feedback speed control maintains speed and a motor/magnet lockout prevents de-mag during operation.16. The 4203 offers adjustability of 3/4 in direction of base length and 20 deg right or left of center. Adjustable position on this base makes lining up the bit easier and faster.
